The big news on the site for 2011 was soccer expert and all-around sharp guy "Danimal" chipping in with occasional plays. His first was Wigan @ Everton to tie in regulation paying 4.25 (wow!) in the English Premier League in December of 2010. Result: nil-nil, never in doubt.
By the way both Danimal and I heard the Lions' roar in 2010 and benefited as the local Leos went over 5 regular season wins. My regular season win totals went 5-8 as Pit and Chi got over on me. Big Ben's suspension didn't set them back, and Martz's bye week adjustments got Cutler on track. Danimal placed 12th overall out of a couple thousand entrants in the Caesars Windsor free NFL contest (pick every regular season winner SU), and collected a C-note for his efforts. I finished 11th in the ViewFromVegas.com NFL POW contest. I usually post observations and picks in their forum on a fairly regular (at least weekly) basis.
Danimal again finished well in Caesars Windsor Football Fever 2011, T19 for another C-note.
Copa America: Uruguay/Paraguay W 3-0. Venezuela win (-0.5 in the regulation 90 minutes plus any stoppage time) against Paraguay. +370 at bet5d.com and sportbet.com. Danimal had soccer going w/ Ontario Proline: all 4 ties and the Peru, Venezuela, and Ecuador wins. Play 1 ticket w/ 4 ties and then round-robin the 3's if you can. Next back up Venezuela w/ the win (for best valu). Next Peru, and finally Ecuador, in that order. Skip Mexico. Then play a 4-teamer w/ all wins, and then break that down into the round-robin 3's. Lotta action. Prices could be better online too, so check there as well. The Colombians got the tie w/ Argentina (and had the better chances), and the Metropolitans prevailed w/ Beltran besting a less-than-100% Ethier in total bases.
